Welcome to the Nevada Architectural History Alliance!

Who We Are

The Nevada Architectural History Alliance (Nevada AHA) was formed in 2013 by cultural resource professionals who work in Nevada. Our ranks include architectural historians, old building junkees, “architecture-ologists,” and Nevada history foamers. All friends and fans of Nevada’s unique architectural heritage are welcome!

What We Do

Nevada AHA hosts quarterly meetings held at historic buildings throughout Nevada. Each meeting features a “Talk & Tour” with an expert on the resource. Our past behind-the-scenes tours have included the Sparks Museum & Cultural Center (former Sparks Library),┬áthe Dangberg Ranch, the Silver City School House, and most recently, the old Reno Main Post Office.

Our Mission

The mission of Nevada AHA is to:

-Encourage the recognition and understanding of Nevada’s unique architectural history and

-Support the professionalism of architectural history professionals in Nevada by disseminating research, stimulating discussion, and providing educational opportunities.
